Legal
Privacy notice
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Draft pending legal review. This is not the final version.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Varangian Labs, S.A., a company incorporated in the Republic of Panama and based in Panama City (“Varangian Labs”, “we”), is responsible for processing the personal data described in this notice. For any privacy question, write to us at contact@varangianlabs.com.
2. Data we collect
Contact form. Your full name, company, business email, the service of interest (optional), and the description you write. Please do not include sensitive information such as health or financial data or passwords.
Technical data. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, which is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use your IP address temporarily, in memory, to limit how often the form can be submitted.
Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. This tool does not use cookies and does not let us identify you: it records data such as the page visited, the referring site, the approximate country or region, the device type, the operating system, and the browser. We do not use advertising tools or cross-site tracking.
3. Why we use it
We use your data only to respond to your inquiry and, if you wish, to arrange a conversation about your project. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it to send you marketing without your consent.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, in accordance with Panama’s Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection and its regulations. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@varangianlabs.com.
5. Who we share it with
Only with providers that perform technical services for us and process the data on our behalf:
- Resend (Resend, Inc., United States): delivers messages sent through the form by email.
- Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft Corporation, United States): hosts our inbox, where messages are received.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): hosts the website and provides the visit statistics service.
These providers may process data outside Panama, particularly in the United States. We only work with providers that offer appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards. We may also disclose data when required by law or by a competent authority.
6. How long we keep it
The website does not store form submissions: they are sent as email to our inbox. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any relationship that follows, and delete it when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. Cookies
We use a single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers the language you chose (Spanish or English). It is a functional session cookie: it does not identify you, is not used for tracking, and is deleted when you close your browser. The visit statistics do not use cookies.
8. Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, and portability of your data, and you can object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to contact@varangianlabs.com with your name and your request. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will respond within the time limits set by law.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with Panama’s National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our inbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
10. Minors
This site is intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date.
